11.20.12 A very special Thanksgiving

Our grand daughter Elizabeth Jane (Ellie) was recently over for a visit to see her Papa Pete and DeDe. Ellie’s Mom, Julie placed her baby on her grandfathers chest so he could feel her move and be close to her.  We watched as they looked into each others eyes, neither one of them are able to speak, but those eyes spoke volumes….Peter’s were saying “I love more than you will ever know, and I am so thankful that God has given this time to get to know you.” And while I don’t know what Ellie was thinking about her Papa Pete… her gaze was so long, intent and purposeful, she seemed to be saying, ” You must be someone very special.”

This Thanksgiving we are grateful for the many blessings in our lives.
A time of  medical peace and calm for Peter, and he has no pain now.
God’s never changing love for us, and his provision in our lives.
The love of family and friends, and being able to spend Thanksgiving with Peter and our family. And the joy of our first Thanksgiving together with little Ellie!

We wish you and your families a very blessed Thanksgiving. We thank you for being a part of our lives.

“May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face towards you and give you peace.”                                        Numbers 6:25-26
